2017/18 Patient Survey
As you will know over the last two years we have changed the way in which we run our appointment system. We have a supervising GP working each day taking telephone consultations and Minor Illness Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner taking face to face appointment alongside the GP team. The nurse will always consult with the Supervising GP if they require further advice.
Our patients that have had the opportunity to answer the 2017 National Survey have rated us above the national average for our nurse team. With this in mind could you answer the following:-
Q1. Priority one. How old are you?
Q2. Priority one. The last time you consulted with a Nurse Practitioner were you given enough time to speak with them about your problem ?
Q3. Priority one. Was the Nurse Practitioner good at listening?
Q4. Priority one. Was the Nurse Practitioner good at explaining tests or treatment?
Q5. Priority one. Was the Nurse Practitioner good at involving you in the decision making?
Q6. Priority one. Was the Nurse Practitioner good at treating you with care and concern?
Q7. Priority one. Did you have confidence and trust in the last Nurse Practitioner that you saw?
Q8. Priority one. During the consultation did the Nurse Practitioner seek advice from a Doctor?
Q1. Priority 2. If a friend or family member were moving into the area how likely would you be to recommend our practice to them?
As I am sure you are aware we are being asked to look at ways of improving access for our patients. The aim is to offer patients routine bookable and same day appointments 7 days a week 8am to 8pm. With the current shortages of Doctors in the area and the rurality, this is challenging to say the least. If we are to provide this service it must be outside our normal working week of 8am to 6.30pm Mon to Friday.
Q1. Priority 3. if you had access to this services which days of the week would you prefer to attend appointments between 6.30 pm to 8pm?
Q2 Priority 3. If weekends, which day?
Q3. Priority 3. If weekends appointments are provided, what do you think would an appropriate opening time be?
Thanks for taking our survey
