How do I... Make An Appointment?

How do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?

The doctors are happy to give advice over the phone. If you wish to talk to a doctor please tell the receptionist.

If the doctor is not immediately available, the receptionist will take your telephone number and ask the doctor to call you back within two working days.

Voice mails are available should a patient wish to leave a doctor a non urgent message (all messages requiring a call back are cleared within 48 hours). Urgent requests must not be left on a voice mail. Urgent requests will be dealt with by the duty doctor during the same day.

How do I... Obtain A Home Visit?

Home visits are offered to patients who are too ill or disabled to travel to the surgery. They are very time-consuming for the doctor so we encourage patients to come to the surgery wherever practical. Please phone early and be prepared to tell the receptionist how urgent you consider the request to be.

How do I... Obtain Test Results?

Our phone lines get very busy first thing in the morning, so please ring after 2.00pm for test results etc, wherever possible. Always ask the doctor/nurse how you should obtain the results of any investigations, eg during consultation or by telephone call.
