Hearing Impairment:
The surgery provide a hearing loop system at the main reception desk. We also have a portable hearing loop which can be used in any part of the surgery to assist patients during consultations. We operate a patient call screen in our waiting room as a visual aid for our patients.
Patients can now order their repeat prescription and book a number of appointments online. We have introduced a text messaging service to remind patients of their appointment date and time. We hope to expand this service in the future to assist out hearing impaired patients.
Patients that have hearing aids can now go to Specsavers, Mercer Row, to recieve new replacement hearing aid batteries. Patients will require a hospital discharge letter. The patient will need to contact the hospital that provided the hearing aid to get this letter so Specsavers can continue the service.
